Biographical Sketch: Adele Houghton, a licensed Architect in the State of Texas and a LEED Accredited Professional, is President of Biositu, LLC, a strategic consulting company dedicated to leveraging environmental sustainability to enhance community health. Adele participated in the CDC’s Environmental Public Health Leadership Institute both as a Fellow and as a Mentor. She holds a Master of Public Health and Certificate in Public Health Informatics from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Ms. Houghton is an active member of the CSTE State Environmental Health Collaborative Climate Change workgroup, for whom she developed climate change vulnerability, mitigation, adaptation, and policy indicators. She is also lead author of a guidance document developed by the same group that assists local health departments downscale these indicators to the local level.
