Biographical Sketch: Angela Hardin has been a member of CORE Response since October 2012. She obtained a B.S. in biology from Spelman College, followed by a MPH in Prevention Sciences from Georgia State University. During her time at GSU, she conducted research on the analysis of the correlation to fecal indicators and risk of diarrheal disease in Bonao, Dominican Republic using the hydrogen sulfide producing bacteria test. She also served as an Environmental Health intern for the DeKalb County Board of Health, where she conducted regulatory inspections analyzing environmental and sanitation hazards to prevent drowning, injuries, and the spread of infectious diseases. She served as an ORISE fellow to CORE on Congressional deliverables pertaining to the Food Safety Modernization Act for product tracing, in addition to serving time as an epidemiologist for CORE Signals and Surveillance.
