Biographical Sketch: Vanessa Short is a Senior Epidemiologist at the Mississippi State Department of Health where she directs the Mississippi Delta Cardiovascular Health Examination Survey. Prior to joining the Mississippi State Department of Health, Dr. Short was a Maternal and Child Health CDC/CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellow at the Pennsylvania Department of Health. She received a PhD in Epidemiology and a MPH in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh.
