Biographical Sketch: Fontaine is a Masters prepared nurse with a doctorate in Public Health from the University of Kentucky. She has a broad clinical base and over 28years of nursing experience. Her area of interest and advanced educational background is in quality/performance improvement and public health practice.
Fontaine is currently an Associate Professor of Nursing at Eastern Kentucky University and an Infection Prevention consultant for the Kentucky Department for Public’s HAI program and the Association for Linen Management. Fontaine is nationally certified in infection control (CIC) and is active in the Bluegrass Chapter of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) and Sigma Theta Tau (STTI), an international nursing honor society.
