Health communication is an important aspect of epidemiology. The ability to communicate clear, concise messages to a lay audience is essential to promoting healthy behaviors and decisions. The second part of the training will focus on communicating epidemiologic information and public health recommendations to government officials, media professionals, and the general public. In this session, you will learn about communication strategies and practice creating messages. The workshop format will include lecture followed by small group break-out sessions in which participants will create a message using different media for delivery.
