Implementing the CIFOR Guidelines and Toolkit for Foodborne Disease Outbreak Response

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to

Describe the steps included in the CIFOR Toolkit process and what is meant by the terms “Focus Areas,” “Tracks,” and “Keys to Success.”
Complete a CIFOR Toolkit Focus Area-specific worksheet.
Identify specific CIFOR recommendations to improve communication and relationships with other jurisdictions in their region.
List ways the Toolkit might be used in large group settings to help familiarize local health department staff with the CIFOR Guidelines and Toolkit.
Discuss ways to increase interest of decision-makers from their agency or jurisdiction in foodborne diseases and outbreaks and designation of resources to improve outbreak response.
